- Professor – 6 positions (Basic biomedical sciences – 3; Clinical medicine – 3)
- Associate Professor – 10 positions (Basic biomedical sciences – 5; Clinical medicine – 4; Non-medical elective courses in the Medicine program – 1)
- Assistant Professor – 6 positions (Basic biomedical sciences – 3; Clinical medicine – 2; Non-medical elective courses in the Medicine program – 1) – academic or professional track
- Assistant – 3 positions (Basic biomedical sciences – 2; Clinical medicine – 1)
Monthly salary (starting from):
- Professor – from 4,337 GEL
- Associate Professor – from 3,699 GEL
- Assistant Professor – from 3,061 GEL
- Assistant – from 2,423 GEL
Workload categories for academic staff:
- Category A – full workload, including teaching (contact), research (non-contact), and administrative (office/contact) duties – available to affiliated academic staff.
- Category B – part-time workload, primarily contact teaching hours, supplemented with limited research, exam development, invigilation, and student consulting – also available to affiliated academic staff.
- Category C – part-time workload for unaffiliated academic staff, including teaching, exam preparation, invigilation, and student consulting.
Affiliated academic staff may choose A or B; unaffiliated staff may choose C. Detailed workload and remuneration are outlined in the Academic and Visiting Staff Load Regulations (Annex 1).

Criteria for Academic Positions
Professor
- Holds a doctorate or equivalent degree
- At least 6 years of university-level academic-pedagogical experience
- Conceptual vision for university research and/or educational program development
- Research activity evidenced by publications in impact-factor journals or presentations at international scientific conferences within the last 10 years; preferred h-index ≥ 3 (according to Google Scholar)
- (Repeated) evidence of research activity as above, with preferred h-index ≥ 2
- Active involvement in professional development and qualification-enhancement activities, including in teaching methodology
- Proficiency in English sufficient for instruction (at least B2 level according to the Common European Framework)
Associate Professor
- Holds a doctorate or equivalent degree
- At least 3 years of university-level academic-pedagogical experience
- Conceptual vision for development of educational program modules/components or university research
- Experience in implementing scientific or other projects
- Publications or presentations in impact-factor journals or international conferences within the last 10 years; preferred h-index ≥ 2
- Active involvement in teaching-methodology and professional development
- English proficiency at least B2
Assistant Professor (Academic Track)
- Holds a doctorate or equivalent degree
- Experience in designing and/or delivering courses, or educational program development vision
- Publications or presentations in refereed journals or international conferences within the last 10 years
- Active involvement in professional development activities
- English proficiency at least B2
Assistant Professor (Clinical Professional Track)
- Holds a single-cycle medical/dental or equivalent higher education degree in the field
- Knowledge of field-specific challenges, evidenced by leadership roles in professional associations or expert roles in health care
- Relevant clinical experience: certification and at least 5 years clinical activity in the field (with ≥ 350 patients per year or ≥ 30 patients per month in the last 3 months)
- Research experience—publications or conference presentations within the last 10 years
- Teaching vision evidenced by course design or ≥ 1 year teaching experience
- Active in professional development, including teaching methodology
- English proficiency at least B2
Assistant Professor (Non-Clinical Professional Track)
- Holds relevant higher education degree in the field
- Expert knowledge of the field’s challenges, evidenced by leadership roles or regulatory/professional association experience of ≥ 5 years
- Research experience—publications or presentations within the last 10 years
- Teaching vision evidenced by course design or ≥ 1 year teaching experience
- Active in professional development
- English proficiency at least B2
Assistant
- Enrolled doctoral student in the relevant field
- Publications or conference presentations in refereed journals or international conferences within the last 10 years
- English proficiency at least B2

- Certificate of no criminal record for sexual freedom and integrity from the Ministry of Internal Affairs
