On September 29 at 13:00, BAU International University Batumi will host a meeting with academic therapist and psychologist Mariam Sokhadze on the topic “Studying and Living in a New Cultural Environment.”
Mariam Sokhadze holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Assessment and Psychocounseling. She has also worked at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia as a specialist in inclusive education. Her professional background is especially valuable in areas such as student adaptation in multicultural environments, overcoming emotional challenges, and maintaining a balance between academic and social life.
During the session, she will discuss the psychological difficulties that arise while studying and living abroad, ways to cope with culture shock, and strategies for effective communication.
The event is open to all students and free of charge.
