The Rector of BAU International University Batumi, Irine Imerlishvili, attended the official reception dedicated to the Birthday of the Emperor of Japan at the invitation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia.

The event was ceremonially opened with the national anthems of Georgia and Japan. The guests were welcomed by the Ambassador of Japan to Georgia, His Excellency Mr. Ishizuka Hideki. The reception was attended by more than 250 guests, including representatives of the Government of Georgia, members of the non-governmental sector, cultural figures, and representatives of the diplomatic corps.

For BAU International University Batumi, participation in international events represents an important strategic direction. One of the institution’s priorities is to deepen cooperation between Japan and Georgia, particularly through the development of academic and institutional partnerships, which contribute to the university’s integration into the global educational space.
